I was pretty surprised that MK never got dirty throughout the course of her journey with the Leafmen throughout the film after getting shrunk by Queen Tara.

I mean, in "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," Amy and Nick Szalinski and Ron and Little Russ Thompson got dirty during their journey through the Szalinski residence's backyard to get back to the Szalinski's house to get unshrunk by Wayne Szalinski's (Amy and Nick's dad) shrink ray gun he invented after they unexpectedly got it to work by Ron accidentally hitting his baseball into the machine's ray beams, which, in turn, blocked the ray's heat line that makes the objects meant to be shrunk explode instead.

So, this is what's bugging me.

Why didn't the filmmakers do the intelligent thing and have MK get dirty during her adventure?

I mean, they let Professor Bomba, Ronin, and Nod get dirty, and get little injuries for Ronin and Nod's case, in the climax, so why not get MK dirty for the journey?
